Privacy policy

ImportGap collects as little personal data as it can. We do not sell data, show ads, or use third-party tracking or analytics cookies.

What we collect

• Account details: your email address and name. If you sign in with Google, also your Google account ID and profile picture, which Google shares with us.
• Password: only a one-way hash (bcrypt). We can't see your password.
• Usage: which business pages signed-in users open, to improve rankings and guides.
• Security: your IP address is used briefly in memory to limit repeated sign-in or email requests. It is not stored.

Cookies

One essential sign-in cookie keeps you logged in (up to 30 days), plus a security cookie during sign-in. Your light/dark theme choice is kept in your browser's local storage. No other cookies.

Who processes data for us

• Resend sends verification and password-reset emails.
• Google handles "Continue with Google" sign-in, if you choose it.
• Our hosting provider stores the database on servers we control.

Your choices

You can ask us to see, correct or delete your account and data at any time by writing to hello@importgap.in from your account email. We act on requests within 30 days, in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

Retention

We keep account data while your account exists. Expired email links are useless after 24 hours (1 hour for password resets).
